With support for Layer 2 based packet
classification and MAC filtering,
Service Providers can differentiate
service delivery and offer end-to-end
QoS guarantees to their customers.
Support for Ethernet-OAM along with
Ethernet services over all media
provides a unified view of the network
irrespective of underlying links and
removes the need to integrate access
specific OAM tools. This enables
easier and unified end-to-end
monitoring and troubleshooting tools
to Service Providers, which enable
them to provide a better level of
service assurance.
Carrier Managed Security Services
OmniAccess 5510 USG’s rich set of
inbuilt security features enables
Service Providers to offer Managed
Security Services to their customers at
no additional cost. For example,
OmniAccess 5510 USG has a rich suite
of advanced security services, including
DMVPN spoke functionality, IPSec
Site-to-Site VPN, IPSec Client VPN,
Stateful firewall, Denial of Services
attack prevention, and Signature-
based IDS/IPS. What’s more, Omni-
Access 5510 USG’s industry leading
security-first architecture ensures that
all newly activated services receive
protection from existing security
infrastructure. IPSec VPN tunnels and
Client VPN allow remote sites and
nomadic users to connect to corporate
networks over unsecure public
networks. The addition of new
branch office sites to an enterprise’s
IPSec mesh network enterprise can be
done automatically using DMVPN
spoke functionality
Using policy-based routing, Omni-
Access 5510 USG can re-route traffic to
third-party security servers, thus
enabling a faster service roll out in
conjunction with other best-in-breed
security solutions. OmniAccess 5510
USG can also act as a transparent
firewall sitting between the LAN and
the WAN router without impacting the
existing infrastructure, and allow
Service Providers to roll out security
services faster.
