We recommend that you read this chapter carefullybefore using your modem. The
manufacturerdisclaimsanyliabilityfordamage,whichmayresultasaconsequence
ofimproperuseorusecontrarytotheinstructionscontainedherein.

Whendriving,donotuseyourmodem
Whenswitchedon,yourmodememitselectromagneticwavesthatcaninterfere
withthevehicle’selectronicsystemssuchasABSantilockbrakesorairbags.To
ensure that there is no problem; do not place your modem on top of the
dashboardorwithinanairbagdeploymentarea.
Check with your car dealer or the car manufacturer to make sure that the
dashboardisadequatelyshieldedfrommodemRFenergy.
ConditionsofUse
1. Switchthe modemoffbeforeboardinganaircraft.
2. Switch the modem off when you are in health care facilities, except in
designated areas. As with many other types of equipment now in regular use,
mobile telemodemscaninte rferewith other electricalor electronicdevices,or
equipmentusingradiofrequencies.
3. Switchthemodemoffwhenyouareneargasorflammableliquids.Strictlyobey
all signs and instructions posted in afueldepot,petrol station, chemicalplant,
orinanypotentiallyexplosiveatmosphere.
4. When the modem is switched on, it should be kept at least 15 cm from any
medicaldevicesuchasapacemaker,ahearingaidorinsulinpump,etc.
5. Do not let children use the modem without supervision. Your modem may
containsmallpartsthatcouldbecomedetachedandcreateachokinghazard.
6. When replacing the cover, please note that your modem may contain
substancesthatcouldcreateanallergicreaction.
7. Alwayshandle yourmodemwithcareandkeepitinacleananddustfreeplace.
8. Donotallowyourmodemtobe exposed toadverseweatherorenvironmental
conditions(moisture,humidity,rain,infiltrationofliquids,dust,seaair,etc).The
manufacturersrecommendedoperatingtemperaturerangeis‐20°C to+55°C.
